BAT WATCH 2020 on inaturalist.org
BAT WATCH 2020 is a place to collect citizen science bat sightings from northwest Indiana with the Porter County Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America. Twilight on calm evenings is the best time to see bats “emerge” from their daytime resting places in trees or structures. We can start to look for them April-October, during “bat” season.
How many will you see?
We want to know about bats you see inside structures too, like attics or barns. And if you found a dead one, we’re interested. Please also include in BAT WATCH 2020, or let us know, if you are doing bat call audio monitoring and uploading to NABatmonitoring.org. PCC is collaborating.
We encourage children and families to learn more about bats with us! NWIConservation.org
